DAY 2 of Citizens Quest got us to find out that the people of Nnempi in Oru East LGA of Orlu in Imo State produce the baskets used in bringing Agricultural produce from the North to the East.
Sadly, the poor state of the roads in this area has hampered economic activities as they suffer to transport the baskets to a point, from where they are taken to the neighboring Anambra State and to the North.
The profit from the business is nothing compared to the energy and resources committed.
They hope that their son, HE Senator Hope Uzodimma will expand their business, make life better by fixing the road network in the area.With the state of disrepair in infrastructure particularly the roads, one wonders how much the Governor can do considering the poor Federal allocation of the State.
He may need to partner the Nddc and the Federal Ministry of Work to achieve optimum results.Watch the videos
